Additional Resources

A number of other organizations have conducted surveys of Presidential Candidates around issues related to children and families. The following are links to these resources.

National Education Association. The NEA surveyed all candidates and the NEA website presents responses to eight education questions. Each candidate's responses to all eight questions can be found by clicking on the candidate.

Spotlight on Poverty. Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity has posed five questions related to poverty to all candidates and is posting information, including video clips, regarding candidates' views.

Shriver Center on Poverty Law. The Shriver Center on Poverty Law website presents survey responses from Presidential candidates on poverty issues, in a spreadsheet format, related to: asset building, budget and tax policies, unemployment, immigrants, housing, health, education, crime, and civil rights.

Pew Religion and Politics 2008. The Pew Religion and Politics 2008 website presents links to statements made by each candidate related to poverty. It also provides brief profiles and reading materials for each of the candidates.

Des Moines Register. The Des Moines Register has a compendium of information on where each Presidential candidate stands on a multitude of issues, including health and education (but not many other children's issues), including a number of video clips and interview responses to candidate sit-down meetings with Register staff.
